COPPER Company for Investment and Real Estate Development is a joint stock company established in 1985 under Law No. 159 of 1981.
Initially founded under the name “The Real Estate Company of National Banks for Development”, the company was born from a partnership between several national development banks across Egypt, with an issued capital of EGP 2 million.
A Story of Growth (1985–2021)
For over three decades, the company played a vital role in real estate development through a framework of public investment. Its founding banks included:

A Story of Change (Since 2022)
On January 1st, 2022, COPPER was acquired by a new group of shareholders with a renewed vision for transformation and modernization. Under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Ayman Al-Nahas, the company addressed a legacy of mismanagement and financial entanglements inherited from prior administrations.
The new board implemented immediate reforms:
- Full settlement of outstanding debts
- Completion of delayed projects
- Restoration of trust with financial institutions
- Increase of issued capital to EGP 105 million
- Addition of trucks trade to the company’s business scope
